What to know before the first clip.
Straight answers about the workflow, privacy, pricing, and what SportsDraw does not claim to measure.
Why does the App Store still say BaseballDraw?
SportsDraw was formerly BaseballDraw. The App Store listing still shows "BaseballDraw: Swing Analyzer" until the SportsDraw update is released. The available version is 1.0.3, a $7.99 one-time purchase for baseball video review.
Are other sports and ball tracking available?
Not yet. Multi-sport support and ball tracking are coming in SportsDraw 1.1.0. That update has not been released. The current App Store version supports baseball hitting and pitching review.
What is SportsDraw?
SportsDraw is an iPhone and iPad app for reviewing baseball hitting and pitching video with frame-by-frame playback, drawing tools, pose overlays, comparisons, notes, tags, and exports.
Can I analyze both hitting and pitching?
Yes. SportsDraw has separate hitting and pitching review modes so the visible phases and workflow match the type of clip.
Does SportsDraw measure pitch velocity or bat speed?
No. SportsDraw is a visual video-review tool. It does not provide radar measurements, pitch movement, spin, ball flight, exit velocity, or bat-speed metrics.
Does the app upload my videos?
No. Imported and recorded media stays on your device unless you explicitly export or share it through iOS.
How much does SportsDraw cost?
$7.99 once on the App Store (U.S. price). No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, and no account. Every feature is included, and Apple shows your local price before you buy.
Is SportsDraw a subscription?
No. SportsDraw is a one-time $7.99 App Store purchase. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or upgrade tiers, and every feature is included.
Is there a free version or free trial?
I subscribed to an earlier version. What should I do?
The current app no longer requires a subscription. Cancel any remaining subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Apple handles refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does SportsDraw work on iPad?
Yes. SportsDraw runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18.0 or later. There is no Android version.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Recording, importing, frame review, drawing, pose overlays, comparison, and export work on the device without a connection. You need a connection to download the app and its updates.
Who is SportsDraw for?
Hitters, pitchers, baseball parents, and coaches who want to review practice video themselves, mark a visible checkpoint, and share clear feedback. It suits youth, high school, college, and adult players who record on an iPhone or iPad.
How is SportsDraw different from other baseball video apps?
It focuses on private, manual video review for a one-time price instead of a subscription, team platform, or sensor. See the baseball video analysis app comparison.
Can I compare two clips?
Yes. For the strongest comparison, use similar camera angles, framing, and movement phases in both clips.
Can I send an analyzed clip to a coach?
Yes. You can export an annotated still or video and share it with a coach, player, parent, or teammate using the iOS share sheet.
What should I include in a support email?
Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, SportsDraw version, the exact steps you took, and what happened instead. Start with a written description before sending private media.
